Ram Dass

I was introduced to Ram Dass around the same time I had heard about Burning Man in the late 90s when contemporary counterculture was just getting started. I had been gifted a copy of “Be Here Now” which I always remembered, and influenced me, but never stayed top of mind.
I remembered him and his influential book when I saw his Netflix documentary where he spoke about getting ready to pass away. It touched me. I wanted to remember him and his influence, particularly his influence on counterculture, and his contribution to psychedelia as a whole. I can only hope to meet him before he passes.
