Peacock Dreams
Polymer clay, epoxy, acrylic, on wood
2019

Peacock Dreams was built alongside Blacklight Betty.  This was a piece I was making while heavily into working with epoxy, and I wanted to create a flower shape out of the epoxy.  The shape was to come from a flower template, given to me for the group show May Flowers at Statix Gallery. I created a special box for the sculpture to contain the epoxy and began pouring and painting over the template. When I removed the box the containing block was too precious to cut, so I polished it and let it be.

The name comes from the Mighty Boosh, a surreal British sitcom.
